Jazz Ensemble. Chorale and Jazz Waltz. The Flugelhorn and Trombones introduce Dizzy Gillespies classic with a Chorale. The full band transitions to a Jazz Waltz featuring all sections at various times. An optionally open solo section beginning at 2:50 provides opportunity for several players to stretch. After the final full band chorus in Waltz time, the Flugelhorn and Trombones close with an eight bar coda in Chorale style.
