Product Description

Three players at one piano tackle alternating 9/8 and 3/4 time signatures in this Late Intermediate piece. The southern hemisphere constellation Triangulum Australe was created by Dutch navigators Frederick de Houtman and Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser. Nicolas Louis de Lacaille included it on his planisphere, describing it as a surveyors level to go along with Circinus and Norma. Petrus Plancius put it on his globe, and Johann Bayer featured it in his Uranometria. The third player moves seat from the lowest notes in the bass to the highest in treble. This player can decide to stand or have a chair at each end. From 88 Constellations a collection by Heather Cattanach featuring one piece of piano music for each of the 88 constellations (to match the number of keys on a standard piano). Includes score and parts. Performance Time 1 1/2 minutes. 15 pages. (General Instructional, Modern, 21st Century, Repertoire, Recital, 6 hands 1 piano)
