Commissioned by the Chinese Choir of Salt Lake City - Yu-Feng Huang, Music Director - "In Search of Sunshine" is a collaboration between Utah-based composer Clifford W. King and Taiwanese poet (Zhāng Jǐngwén) as a part of the Chinese Choir of Salt Lake City's concert honoring the stories of Chinese immigrants in Utah. As the poetry explores the journey of immigrants to the United states, the piece aims to serve as a poignant remembrance, tribute, and recontexualization of the journey undertaken.

This piece is engraved with a new pinyin transliteration, including a translation and pronunciation guide.
