Product Description

Camille Saint-Saëns was a French Romantic composer known for his clarity, wit, and craftsmanship, and one of his most beloved works is "Carnival of the Animals," a humorous musical suite portraying different animals. The Elephant, one of the movements in this suite, is a short, playful piece written originally for double bass and piano. It uses the deep, lumbering sound of the instrument to mimic the heavy, slow steps of an elephant.

This arrangement has been modified to accommodate the range of the bass clarinet. Cued notes are optional for bass clarinet players not yet able to play in the upper range. Also available from "Carnival of the Animals:" The Swan for bass clarinet and piano.
