Product Description

"In dulci jubilo" is a medieval German carol, dating around the year 1400 AD. Using the original words, as translated by Robert Lucas Pearsall, the more well-known English words ("Good Christian Men, Rejoice") by John Mason Neale, and the famous arrangement done by Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV 368), and a hint of the Carmina Burana, this arrangement takes the audience through various different tones and moods, from dances to quiet chapels.
With Latin phrases interspersed and the occasionally-polyphonic style of J.S. Bach, this piece could be difficult for some choirs, but the result will be well worth the effort! Each section of the band will get their moments to shine, as well. This arrangement, in being intended for worship purposes, has solutions in place for a smaller or differently-arranged ensemble (e.g. a Soprano Sax in Bb, though not explicitly called for, can easily play the Bb Clarinet 1 part, and a missing oboe or horn will not negatively impact the big picture).

Please contact Wyatt LeBert at wlebertcomposer@gmail.com for a score on legal-size paper, instrument parts, SATB part demos, etc. Must have proof of purchase.
