Scored for two Alto's, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones. Jeux (French for Games) was written with young Saxophonists in mind. It features a jaunty melody, which is shared with each player, and a sprightly accompaniment. A second but slower melody has some leaps in register to challenge the performers. A Da Capo returns to the first melody and finishes with a short Coda. The choice of friendly saxophone keys creates the opportunity to reinforce the importance of scales. Peter Jackson.
