Product Description

The Nocturnes, Op. 9 are a set of three pieces for solo piano written by Frédéric Chopin between 1831 and 1832, dedicated to Marie Pleyel. These were Chopin's first published set of nocturnes; the second nocturne, in particular, is often regarded as Chopin's most famous piece, composed when he was around 20 years old. This arrangement for concert band follows the original as much as possible (including some of the ornamentation) in the same key, but the style has been modified to a gentle 4/4 ballad, making it more accessible for all players.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
