Product Description

The first movement is in 3/4 time, and in the sonata form, there are two contrasting themes.
The first theme is oriental and the second theme is western, and they contrast each other.
The second movement is in 4/4 time, and it is composed in ABA form, where slow themes are exchanged between instruments.
The third movement is in 3/8 time, and it is written in ABA form with a lively and humorous A theme and a slow B theme.
The fourth movement is in 4/4 time, and it has a variation form that quotes the theme of this Sonata, Ong Hye Ya. Ong Hye Ya originated from the Gyeongsang Province of South Korea, and was sung to cheer each other up during the difficult barley threshing. As the nature of the theme suggests, the parts continue to have an exciting conversation, giving and receiving. The musical atmosphere is heightened by the use of gorgeous arpeggios and colorful bariollage techniques. The original piece is a Sonata for violin and piano, and this piece has been reworked into a String Orchestra. Attached Music file is part of 1st mov. it's just for a reference.
