Velho Piano is a slow bossa by the Brazilian singer-songwriter Dori Caymmi. It was selected for the bass quartet format for its lyricism and harmonic depth.

The arrangement features Bass 1 as the main soloist, and Basses 2 and 3 will often employ double-stops, creating dense voicings during the theme and solo. This piece starts out in D minor and briefly modulates to the keys of C, E, Eb, and G Major, and concludes with a double-time samba ride out in G.
