Originally a song for 4-part voices by French romantic composer, Charles Gounod (Faust, Ave Maria), this arrangement is primarily for wind quintet of flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon. However, for added flexibility, the set includes a clarinet alternative to the horn part and a bass clarinet option to the bassoon. The existing oboe part could also be played effectively on flute.
