This is the third movement of six easy duets by Jacques Offenbach. Originally written for two cellos, it has been arranged for viola and double bass. The bass part requires shifting to 3rd position, while the viola part can be played entirely in 1st position. There is one brief key change from G Major to G minor. Thoughtful bowings and phrasings have been included. This is a lively and fun duet for students, and will certainly help with rhythm, intonation, and ensemble!
