Product Description

"Anna's Theme" is the main theme from the 1999 film "The Red Violin" ("Le violon rouge"). John Corigliano's original music for this film won The Academy Award for Best Original Score. Acclaimed violinist Joshua Bell played the violin part in the film's soundtrack. The plot was inspired by the historic 1720 Stradivarius violin nicknamed the "Red Mendelssohn." (Stories have it that the red varnish on the violin contained human blood.) The music is stark and haunting. Appropriately, this duo arrangement has the melody set high in the violin's upper register. It soars. It is ethereal and "other-worldly."

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
