The1962 epic war film 'The Longest Day' featured a stella cast. The film starts with the days leading up to the D-Day landings and with the 6th June 2024 being the 80th Anniversary of that event this music is suitable either as a commenrative piece or as a concert piece featuring 'music for the movies'.

There are many versions out there but this arrangement offers an opening scene setting fanfare before the well-known march starts. All players get a turn at the main theme.
