Product Description

Green Eyes is a a popular song, orginally written in Spanish under the title Aquellos Ojos Verdes (Those Green Eyes) by Adolfo Utrera and Nilo Menendez in 1929. The English translation waa made by Eddie Rivera and Eddie Woods in 1931. The song, a bolero, was written in 1929 and recorded in Cuba in the same year. It was the only major hit, both originally in Cuba and then again in the Latin community in New York for the Cuban pianist, Nilo Menendez. The lyrics were written by Cuban tenor, Adolfo Utrera. This arrangement for Niibori Guitar Orchestra is inspired by the rendition by popular Latin group "Los Panchos". It is intricately scored for 3 Alto parts, 2 prime parts, bass, contrabass and guitarons. The Alto 3 part can be played by an Alto cembalo, giving a distinctive ponticello sound  that would then nicely contrast the nylon string quality of Alto 1 and 2.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
