Based on Baroque compositional practice (Partimento), this Overture is a five-movement work for young string ensembles. It is scored for two violins, viola (or violin 3), and cello/bass, with suggestions for solo and tutti sections. The Overture opens with a Prelude that leads directly into a Fugue, followed by a Minuet, Musette, Air and Jig. The pdf includes the score and parts.
