A fiddlely, folky arrangement of an old American hymn perfect for church services: prelude, offeratory, postlude, etc. Arranged as a duet for violin and viola, both instruments get to shine. I wrote this piece along with another hymn, Awake, Awake to Love and Work (to be pubished), for myself and a violist colleague to play the Sunday after Labor Day. We play together in church often and pieces like this are GREAT for recruiting new students! This piece received a GREAT compliment from a colleague who first heard it: "I love the groove!"
