J. G. Wilson (aka Emily) was a 19th Century composer and a Methodist minister's wife there school in Pennsylvania. E.E. Hewitt was a 19th Century teacher and hymnist from Phildelphia. Sections A and C are the verse. Sections B and D are the chorus. A modualation occurs between B and C with the help of a French augmented sixth chord and followed by a melodic lead into the next section. A descant is then added by yours truly.
