This piece was completed by December 2021, and is based on the Cowboys Lament folk song, sometimes called Streets of Laredo. Much of Jordans compositional influence comes from early American folk music and cowboy songs. This particular one has been sung by many country artists including Johnny Cash, Don Edwards, and most notably Marty Robbins. The acoustic guitar as accompaniment pays homage to this style, as does the three-part harmony.
