Autumn Evening is a dramatic setting of a section from The Seasons the long descriptive narrative poem by James Thomson (1700-48) from which the text of Haydns oratorio was later adapted.
 
The music gives a vivid description of autumnal dusk, mist, and moonlight, moving to a soaring climax as the moon emerges through the clouds.

The download contains full score, separate voice part, clarinet in B flat part, and viola part (alternative to clarinet)
