Product Description

"Easter Morn" is a piece composed by John Ebenezer West. It's a meditation (originally written for organ) reflecting on the events of Easter morning. The piece is a gentle reflective meditation. It's suitable for Eastertide, the period of fifty days from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday.

John Ebenezer West was a significant figure in the music world, both as a composer and an editor. He studies organ with Frederick Bridge and also at the Royal Academy of Music. West held organ posts in London at various locations including St. Mary's, Bourdon Street, St John of Jerusalem, South Hackney and St. Augustine's, Queen's Gate. In 1884 he became associated editor with Novello & Company in London. In 1897, West became chief editor and adviser. He remained in this role for the next 32 years. He was a prolific composer and editor with nearly 500 published pieces.
