Product Description

This is a story of  a palm wine tapper and his palm wine. Section A is the introduction, Section B is the Journey to the farm, Section C is the ordeals he finds while he clambs and taps the palm wine. Section D is the feel and taste of the palm wine which most likely led to intoxication.  Section E is the epilogue.

This is an intercultural indigenous African music set to fuse African rhythms, styles, and forms with Western harmonic structures and forms.

This piece adopts two orchestration techniques: African and Western. You will find the synergy between these instruments in terms of timbre and the idiom they depict as interactive as possible in a strategic form of "call and response" style, aka "hocket style," notable with African folk music.

The application of complex rhythmic structures, polyphony, and polyrhythms was not spared in this composition.

Feel the originality and ingenuity of Africa in Westernization.

I hope you find this as wonderful as I did.
