Bergentrückung is an arrangement of ASGORE from Toby Fox's most known and popular game UNDERTALE, an RPG with a large amount of his original music, art, and story.
ASGORE is both the name of the song, and the character it is associated with. Asgore is the king of the monsters who were sealed within Mt Ebott, and is working towards freeing the monsters and rejoining the humans on the surface.
Although the meaning of Bergentrückung is still not fully known, there is some evidence showing it means Mountain King, King in the Mountain, or King of the Mountain, however consulting with some german speakers it was proven that is not the full meaning. "Bergen" means mountain in German, however in my research, "trückung" did not hold a meaning or translation. I did however find a page saying there is German Folklore about a king slumbering in a mountain, however there was no citation nor proof. Google translate will tell you it means "Excavate", but my reasearch of asking German speaking people proved that to be wrong.
To the UNDERTALE community "Bergentrückung" will always mean "King of the Mountain", but there is no current real meaning in my reasearch.
This arrangement was made for two reasons. The first reason being I wanted a solo for an upcoming Solo Ensemble, however the second reason is there are very few songs I could find made for a Bass soloist, so I wanted to add a possible Bass Solo for future soloists looking for music. This can also be played as a Cello Solo.
