Product Description

EL NOI DE LA MARE - 2 Guitars
For Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.

Derek Hasted writes "This is an accessible but rich and fulfilling arrangement of the charming Catalan Carol El Noi de la Mare - the Mothers Son.

This edition contains two versions...

One version is ideal for a student teacher duet - the student line is 7th position and one note at once.

The other version is for two equally matched intermediate players - the roles of tune and accompaniment swap at the phrase boundaries to make a charming and compelling performance piece.

The accompaniment parts require the bottom string tuned down to D, and I make use of the sub-harmonic trick to create the illusion of a deeper bass than a guitar can actually play.

I hope you enjoy playing this piece!"

This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by "number of instruments", with links to soundclips and sample score.
