Product Description

Charles Gounod's "Ave Maria on the First Prelude of J. S. Bach" is here arranged for voice, string quartet, and harpsichord by Joel Jacklich (A.S.C.A.P.). The obligatory harpsichord plays Bach's original Prelude No. 1 in C Major from the Well-Tempered Clavier (transposed to F major) while the strings provide a harmonization to Gounod's melody. Violin I doubles the vocal part, so the piece can be performed as just an instrumental work.
