This section represents the forces that try to ruin Christmas such as the Grinch, Scrooge, or war time. The song ends with the lively A section. The Christmas spirit always wins out in the end no matter what forces get in the way of Christmas. The Grinch couldnt stop Whoville, the Scrooge found his Spirit, and even during war time opposite forces found a way to sing Christmas carols together.
