Funny ironic musical pieces portraiting four types of ladies: La Donna Risoluta La Nostalgica La Melancholica La Furba The Quattro Donne draw four different female characters with a thoroughly ironic undertone in a musical way: the resolute (La Risoluta), the nostalgic (La Nostalgica), the melancholic (La Melancholica) and last but not least the mocking (La Furba), who so many are cheeky leading by the nose. The present version for string orchestra and soloists extends the original duets for cello and soprano saxophone with additional tonal and harmonic dimensions. Orginally for soprano saxophone (Bb) & cello. Alternative sheets for alto saxophone (Eb), enhlis horn (F) and c-part (flute, violin).
