Product Description

This arrangement for trombone quartet moves the melody around in the top 3 parts while the bass trombone keeps the beat with a walking bass. Lip trills are desirable, but flutter tongue could also be used as a substitute. The players should feel free to "clown around with it". David Rose originally wrote The Stripper in 1958 as a snippet in a television program called "Burlesque". One story has it that he later recorded The Stripper during an orchestra session where the brass section was not getting to play very much. He encouraged them to clown around with it. After recording "Ebb Tide" for the A side of 45 rpm record in 1962, a last minute search for the B side led to The Stripper being selected.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
