Product Description
Ideal for use in worship or recital, this collection contains newly harmonized arrangements of three lovely carols:
"Dost Thou in a Manger Lie?" is a simple yet beautiful tune also known as Dies est Laetitiae (This is the Joyful Day), from the 1582 collection of Latin songs, Piae Cantiones.
"Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming" is a German carol from the Speyer Hymnal, published in Cologne in 1599 and harmonized by Michael Praetorius in 1609.
"In the Bleak Midwinter" is Gustav Holst's setting of Christina Rossetti's 1872 poem, "A Christmas Carol," which earned great popularity after its publication in The English Hymnal (1906).
