The well-known song "Auld Lang Syne" is traditionally sung to bid farewell to the old year at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve. It is also used in other types of ceremonies. This is a brief piano arrangement in jazz style that re-harmonizes the song with jazz chords, and ends with a short transcription of a jazz improvisation, so the performer can sound as if improvising in jazz style.
