Product Description
Amazing Grace, arranged for String Quartet by Tim Crooks from the traditional spiritual. This arrangement is loosely based on the version sung by Aretha Franklin, and starts with two hushed verses in 4/4, then modulates up a tone and into 9/8, for two more verses with a triplet-feel quaver accompaniment. The ending can be big, or quiet, as required.
This is a great selection for groups developing in compound time, and suitable for approx ABRSM grade 5 (intermediate) level and above.
This download contains Full score and parts (Violin I, II, Viola and Cello).
A String Orchestra version with Piano, Double Bass and Easy Violin / Viola & Cello parts is available separately.
