Instructions for performance:
A. Cello (5)tet for Cello(s)
a. One or more tracks may be impovised.
b. A 5th or more tracks may be improvised.
c. If more than five tracks are improvised, the original
score must be played as written.
d. The score may be played by a single Cellist overdubbed
against him- or herself.
e. The player(s) may repeat the piece da capo and finish
where they see fit.
f. Irregardless of the previous stipulations the Title of the
piece must always remain the same.
B. Game Recognize Game for Double Cello Quintet
a. Two Cello Quintets are seated on opposite sides of the
stage facing each other. Each of the non-soloists follow the
score until they are inspired by either solo Cellist to start
improvising their own line. The two solo Cellists compete
against each other to get the altri players to follow their
line. The piece ends when all ten Cellists are improvising,
then they diminuendo al niente. If the foregoing situation
does not occur by the end of the piece, repeat da capo
until it does.
