Schubert wrote this symphony in 1816-17. Characteristically it was like Mozart whose music he adored. Schubert was a tragic person in music history having died at the age of 32 but leaving behind a great body of word including over 600 songs. This finale of the symphony has a happy and lighthearted feel about it. (sample is smaller that complete piece)
