Product Description

'The Humours of Tulla' is a lively Irish reel that's great fun to play. It's well-known and loved and is played across the world in pubs, on stage and at Irish music sessions. It is a great reel for beginners and experts alike.

History: Tulla is a market town in County Clare, Ireland. The name is usually translated as Tulach na nAspal (hill of the apostles) or Tulach na nEaspag (hill of the bishops), most likely as Tulla grew up around a monastery founded in the 7th century by Mochulla who is now the Patron Saint of Tulla. This reel was popularised by Joe Cooley who recorded it in 1975 as a part of a set that also included "The Skylark" and "Roaring Mary".
