1812 Overture is a wonderful piece written by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. 
It starts off with O Lord Save Thy People, to represent the incoming French Army and slowly changes into a darker theme with solos from the Glockenspiel and Vibraphone then starts a Russian Folk Song. Overall the song has multiple twists and turns that are broken into multiple parts in order to make the performance your own. (Add a cannon soundfont to a keyboard for extra effects!)
