John McCrae's emotionally moving poem has inspired many melodies, with over 75 inspired compositions listed from the WW1 era in the Library of Congress, (many were women composers). This piece is suitable for memorial and patriotic events, and can be played as a melody, or paused at phrases for narrated performance. The words to the poem are notated in both the score and the parts.
