I Wanted to Live Deep is a tenor solo set to the words of Henry Thoreau.  It is from a collection called 'WALDEN' (titled after his book about his stay there) which consists of readings and musical settings of words by all by Henry Thoreau.  This is the third section from that collection.
It is a celebration of Thoreau and Nature.  The complete orchestral score as well as a piano-vocal score is also available.
