Addition I is a short, simple piano piece, designed to be playable by a beginner or early grade pianist. The piece is also, incidentally, capable of being performed by one hand only (either left or right, though more likely to be played by the right hand). Harmony is created 'accidentally' through the use of the sustain pedal. Addition I was particularly conceived for performance by schoolchildren and relative beginners. The work is highly accessible and is appropriate for all standards of pianist. An extension of this piece (Addition II) by the composer is also available via Sheet Music Plus.
