The ninth of my 12 Lyric Etudes. 'The Dragonfly' is an obvious play on "Bumblebee" which I couldn't use because it was already taken for "Flight of the Bumblebee". The approach however, is similar. A scanting right hand plays rapidly, non-stop for the entire piece over the Left hand that plays the melody using 10th intervals. Difficult to master but well worth it. I've played this in concert many times.
