This is a frolicking Theme and Variation based on the military tune "Drink it Down." This was a pop tune in the 1860's during the American Civil War. This arrangement features a cornet/trumpet solo accompanied by the other three members of the Trumpet quartet. Each variation has its own issues and challenges. By the final variation, it looks like an Arban's trumpet etude. Fun and fulfilling. A challenge for strong trumpet soloist.
