This piece was written for the 2013 music festival commemorating the closing of the "Year of Faith-Makahiki Kāhele" and was performed as a massed selection by all of the participants with piano and violin accompaniment. The piece is not difficult to learn and the festival participants truly enjoyed preparing and performing this stirring work. This anthem can be performed by choirs of all sizes. It utilizes a few phrases of ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi" (language of Hawaiʻi) that are not difficult to pronounce.
