Product Description
In the tradition of Opera Without Words is this brass quintet arrangement Rossinis closing aria "Non Più Mesta" (No Longer Sad) to his 1817 opera "La Cenerentola" (The Cinderella). A virtuoso, vocal exhibition of rapid scale passages, the substitution of trumpet or cornet for the soprano creates an exciting and memorable solo feature showpiece for brass quintet performances. The arrangement is scored for two B-flat trumpets with alternate C and E-flat solo parts are provided for the B-flat solo trumpet, an alternate flugelhorn part for horn, trombone/euphonium and tuba/euphonium. The recording is of the entire edition.
