Product Description

Christ Child's Lullaby is a Scottish carol from the Hebrides Islands and is often used for Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. Father Rankin wrote the lyrics around 1855. The melody was sung as a protective charm for the fisherman away at sea. The rhythm mirrors the rhythm of the surf. While the accompaniment mimics the sound of bagpipes, the beautiful melody soars above. The selection takes a lot of breath control while being accessible by the average player.
