Suspiros salen de harén, hasta las aguas del Ganges van. Por ausencia del sultán.
Pero llega el encantador de serpientes y su canción, deja oír tristemente en el harén.
Y penetra por el jardín, el tañido de su flautín, hasta donde la odalisca llora...
la tristeza del harén, que hasta las aguas del Ganges van...En que la dejó el sultán.
