Product Description

"Love Theme Medley" is an arrangement for 4 and 5 octave handbell choirs which is a medley consisting of the Christian hymns: "Jesus Loves Me", "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling", "More Love To Thee, O Christ", and "I Love To Tell the Story". The obvious unifying theme is love---from God to us, and from us toward God. The arrangement starts using 3 octaves of OPTIONAL handchimes on "Jesus Loves Me". Of course, handbells can be substituted for the handchimes, if desired. It alternates between soft and slow ("Jesus Loves Me", and "More Love To Thee, O Christ") and faster and louder ("Love Divine, All Loves Excelling", and "I Love To Tell the Story"), with the somewhat predictable big ending---then a tag of "More Love To Thee, O Christ", again slow and soft and again using handchimes. "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling" utilizes descant lines. "More Love to Thee, O Christ" has tolls (swings) and descant lines. In "I Love to Tell the Story" melody doubling into the upper bells is used. The demonstration audio clip provided is in a piano voice (patch) but since it is a direct output of the arranging/composing program used, it suffices to demonstrate how this arrangement is generally meant to sound. This arrangement is probably about a 2+ (2 plus) degree of difficulty.
