This arrangement features flexible scoring options permitting performance by a wide variety of wind instruments. While this selection may be performed as a quartet, best results are obtained by performance of at least five heterogeneous instruments. The full score has been revised and groups instruments in an easier to read format. The vibraphone, timpani, and suspended cymbal parts are optional but add additionally rich sonority and texture.
