Product Description

I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day is a Christmas carol based on a poem written by
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in 1863, during the time of the American Civil War. The
poem is titled Christmas Bells, and in 1872, it was set to music; a piece called Waltham, by English organist J.B. Culkin (1827-1905) Culkin's melody was the standard version of this song up until the middle of the 20th century.  This arrangement is scored for a  3 octave set of 24 handbells. It is an easy level 2; the smallest note value is an eighth note, and the score utilizes basic ringing, shaking, and marting. This arrangement is suitable for school or church use. It is a perfect and easy piece to play for Christmas.
