Music essences were inspired by the idea of developing a piano book that is not a piano school but offers new pieces next to the old classics. So you can expand your repertoire for every occasion.

The title describes the pieces as very compressed music ideas, or even impressions. They can be musically developed and expanded in mind. Even extended interpretations are conceivable, both in playing and in terms of instrumental arrangement.

Waltz No. 1

This Piano Sonata in G major has a light, lilting melody and a midsection that underscores the style of a waltz. It is a very lively and dynamic piece. The mood is enhanced by a few diffuse moments, which supports the arc of suspense.

Impromptu

Based on Franz Schubert, this impromptu is inspired by the trio of the fourth part of Opus 90 from 1827. The style has been expanded and reinterpreted with modern elements. The theme increases to the upper octaves and culminates in a new theme in the midsection. It ends with a solemn mood.

Summer

Originally it is the theme of my first symphony for chorus and orchestra, third Movement. In this arrangement for piano, it is the melody that is intensively underlined and expressed.

2nd Intermezzo

In the beginning this piece is like a nocturne by Frederic Chopin, But the midsection is based on the midsection of the second intermezzo, opus 118 by Johannes Brahms from 1893. Mood, harmony and style of the midsection are also inspired by the soundtrack from "Pearl Harbor" by Hans Zimmer.

Ballad

The ballad is like a variation of the main theme of the Fifth Symphony by Franz Schubert, first movement. The mood of 1816 is maintained and the cheerful theme is complemented by an intense, passionate midsection. As the title shows, this is a piano piece in the spirit of the 19th century.
