Product Description

Invention #6 (BWV 777) from Johann Sebastian Bach's Two Part Inventions, arranged for Horn and Viola.

Bach's Two Part Inventions were originally composed for keyboard as part of a set of 15 unique pieces. This particular invention lends itself well to the use of unique timbres for each voice, such as the combination of the horn and viola. The piece has been transposed up a semitone (from E for F Major) for better horn playability. Most of the viola part has been lowered by an octave to better fit it's expressive range, with little to no deleterious affect on it's musicality (in fact the subsequent crossing of the chromatic lines are now a unique feature).

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
