Product Description

This is a Lullaby from the fairy-tale opera "Sadko" by Russian composer N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov. Volkhova was a daughter of the King of Sea. She fell in love with an adventurer, merchant and a singer Sadko. He wins her heart with his songs; and the whole Underwater kingdom goes wild when they hear his music. The sea is storming and many boats are destroyed. God had to stop this and punished the Underwater kingdom. Volkhova is singing the Farewell lullaby to her beloved sleeping Sadko: she is turning into a river and he will never see her again as a Princess.
