Product Description

This is an arrangement for instrumental ensemble, by Denny Glasscock, of his original choral composition.
This arrangement is intended for ensembles with limited instrumentation as well as full band or orchestra at an
early intermediate level or higher. For example, this piece was originally arranged as a trio for Violin, Viola and
Violoncello. So those parts alone make up a nice trio. Also the Violin and Viola make up a nice duet. Or the
Violin and Violoncello also work as a duet. Thus other mixes of instruments can achieve an ensemble sound.
Over time, as the ensemble's instrumentation changes, this arrangement may provide the versatility needed.

The following are groupings of instruments with mostly like parts. In theory, except as noted, if the ensemble
has at least one instrument from each of these instrument groups, the FULL ensemble sound may be achieved.

Flute*                 Violin, Oboe, Trumpet and Clarinet

Viola, Alto Saxophone, F Horn, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone (Treble Clef),
                                                  Euphonium, Trombone and Bassoon

Violoncello, Baritone Saxophone, Bass Clarinet, Tuba, Contrabass and Bass Guitar

                                                        Piano and Percussion (or drumset)**

Bonus: A vocal solo lead sheet, with lyrics and chord symbols is included in parts for use with guitar.

Though this arrangement was written to accommodate smaller ensembles with limited instrumentation,
it is also, of course, well suited for large ensembles (e.g., full band or orchestra), at an early intermediate
level, or higher.

*The flute duplicates other instruments 8va at different times. Thus,
though highly desired, flute is not required for full ensemble sound.

**The piano and drums are highly desirable, but a full ensemble sound
can be achieved without them. However, the piano will enable a more
complete sound when several instrument voices are missing. The drums
are a significant benefit in both sound and in holding the ensemble
together - especially without piano. But the piece will work, regardless,
as long as you have the main three groups, above, adequately represented.
